134 Main Street - Nantucket

Who doesn't love the charm of Main Street on Nantucket? Go past the shops and wander up the cobblestone street and you find the serene surrounding of upper Main Street.  134 Main Street is a property that spoke to us right away.  It was big enough for two families to enjoy and had a large beautiful yard with the oldest Catalpa tree on the island providing summer shade.  We saw an opportunity to update a home that would make kids and adults want to come and stay all summer.  With some reconfiguring on the first three floors, we were able to create two large primary bedrooms.  We maintained the other 3 existing bedrooms (all en suite) that can sleep 8 adults or children.  Then we moved to the basement where the unfinished space was just asking us to be creative.  After messing around with various floor plans on the back of napkins, we set about constructing a dream basement that can sleep an additional 8 people.  It's a world unto itself, with a full kitchen, bathroom, game area with shuffleboard and a family room where the whole house can gather for movie night without feeling cramped.  We also added a laundry room large enough to have 2 washer/dryer sets so all the beach towels and bathing suits can be ready for the next day.  The short walk to town and quick drive to the beach is just the icing on the cake.

2 Beach Lane - Hingham

One of the most spectacular properties on Hingham Bay! 2 Beach Lane is directly on the waterfront with amazing, unobstructed views of Boston from this oversized lot. The existing house was worn down after many decades, but the lot was begging to be utilized to its fullest.  We visualized a large open floor-plan home with water views from every room. A place where family could gather for generations to watch the boats go in and out of the Hingham Shipyard and enjoy the sunset over the Boston skyline. We designed and built a new stunning custom home with over 5,000 square feet of living space on 3 floors. The state of the art 5 bedroom, 4 full and 2 half bath home includes a 2 car garage, waterfront deck with a hot tub, an expansive roof deck, and a spacious yard. With a custom chefs kitchen, a fully stocked bar and 3 separate sitting areas the first floor layout makes the house perfect for entertaining. The 3rd floor family game room, bar and office complete this expansive property. The centerpiece of the home is a 2-story wall of windows that affords views of Hingham Bay from both the first and second floors.  We are pretty proud of this one.

64 Howe Street - Hingham

This beautiful Hingham property situated on a corner lot on Higham’s North Beach nestled among gorgeous waterfront homes was begging for an upgrade. It was clear this location had made many family memories but was ready for some new ones. The new owners were looking to create a coastal family home with an industrial look and feel. We set about planning to take advantage of the views while utilizing the shape of the lot to add a wall of windows in a modern formation. A steel support beam was exposed to become a centerpiece look for the open floor plan. A sunroom, surrounded by glass, brings the outside in and is the perfect place to sit and watch the sunset over the boston skyline. Whether indoors in the chef's kitchen or outdoors on the beachfront patio or roofdeck, this new 3,500 sq ft home will be enjoyed for many years to come.

4 Foley Beach Rd - Hingham

Our first opportunity to build a beach front property seemed a little daunting at first. With an awkward house situated on a small triangular lot, we knew we would have to start from scratch to build a property worthy of such a unique location. After quickly becoming versed in federal coastal building regulations, we designed a home on piers which enabled high tide waters to flow under the house. The layout takes advantage of every inch of buildable space with a focus on maximizing the water views from every room. Multiple decks and a patio on the beach allow for outdoor enjoyment with a heated sitting area, hot tub, built in grill and outdoor shower to complete the waterfront home.

222 Hersey St - Hingham

A complete renovation of a 100-year old iconic Hingham home. The project was a gut with all new electrical, plumbing and HVAC. An addition was done to provide a large master suite and oversized family room but care was taken to preserve the detail and historic feeling throughout the house. The property included a barn and additional small detached studio which, when renovated, completed the beautiful estate setting.

7 Cranberry Lane - Hingham

New construction of a 5,000 sq ft home. We designed a Nantucket style house from the ground up to be perfect for raising a family and entertaining. Located on a beautiful private lot, we focused our attention on the flow from inside to outside  A wall of french doors opened from the living room to the bluestone patio allowing easy access between the kitchen, wet bar, and the indoor-outdoor fireplace. Upstairs, our attention was on creating easy access to play spaces for the children by designing a large family room area between the kids rooms. An expansive master suite was tucked away to provide a relaxing retreat.

9 Summit Drive - Hingham

The house, located in a popular family neighborhood near downtown Hingham, was built in the 70s and ready for an update. Immediately, we were struck by the fact that the height of the house allowed for panoramic water views. We designed a roof deck to take advantage of the view that nobody even knew existed previously. The roof deck became a unique feature that would allow the new owners to entertain while watching the sunset over the Boston skyline. The completely renovated house had 5 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms.

3 Chatham Circle - Hingham

This home was neglected for many years and was in dire need of an update. By taking down a couple of walls we were able to quickly open up the floor plan. Dark wood paneling and trim was removed or painted to lighten the space. With a new kitchen, bathrooms and hardwood floors instead of rugs, the house was transformed. Windows, doors, roofing, siding and landscaping gave the house the curb appeal it desperately needed.

235 High St - Hingham

When we purchased this cape, it was begging for a little TLC. Dark and dreary inside and over grown outside, we began renovating every inch of the property. Keeping the look of the house true to the area, the finished product was a beautiful 3 bedroom home with a fenced in yard perfect for a growing family.

19 and 8 Baker Hill Road - Hingham

In 2002, construction started on a new Hingham neighborhood called Baker Hill. In an effort to capitalize on the opportunity, we built 2 homes from the ground up. One privately situated on over an acre and a half of land and the other on the top of the hill with views of Hingham Bay and Boston. These custom family homes are both over 4,000 square feet.

75 Surfside Road - Scituate

This summer estate property was over 100 years old when we bought it.  Sitting majestically on the beach seawall in Scituate, MA, we knew this property was unique from the moment we stepped inside. Views on one side stretched up and down the coast line and the other looked over a beautiful inlet. The details and moldings reflected a bygone era which we were excited to restore to their original beauty. Working within the 5,000 sq ft layout, we redesigned the floor plan to meet current lifestyle needs and take advantage of the expansive views.

3 Rosewood Lane - Hingham

Our first opportunity to build a house from the ground up. This house featured a farmers porch and oversized backyard. At the forefront of the “open floor plan”, we were able to design a 1st floor that flowed effortlessly from family room to kitchen to dining room. With a large home office and 4 big bedrooms this home was made for family living.

Lincoln Wharf Building - Boston

A 191-unit condominium building on the waterfront in Boston’s historic north end neighborhood was the location of our first real estate purchase. Over a 2 year period, we renovated 3 different units in the building. We focused on updating the units by providing new kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and moldings to sell to busy professionals working in the city.
